This week we are learning about the Cold War. After reading pg. 385-389 in Story of the World Vol. 4, I had the kids watch this short video.
Below are some links that you might find helpful if you are studying the Apollo 11 Moon Landing or just a study of the moon. Facts about the Moon from Enchanted Learning The First Moon Walk a summary by Scholastic with links to other space missions First Step on the Moon coloring sheets (I had to select the text and image to print a clean copy) The coloring sheets are part of a series of coloring sheets that together would make a huge timeline of American History. Here is the link to the original page with all of the coloring sheets. General Space Crafts and Poems These would be geared to younger children.
I am mama to 5 sweet and busy children ages 7-22. I currently am teaching 1st, 5th, and 11th grades using Classical Conversations (I direct Challenge I) and I use Tapestry of Grace (Year 2, Unit 2) with my younger kids. My 18 year old is a freshman at Texas Tech University and my oldest is working full time and attends the local community college. I also am becoming a certified Barton Tutor and teach online classes through a variety of platforms. Life is busy but we are still finding time to fit in all of the homesteading things we love.
